Wynwood Walls
If you want to get outside but don’t necessarily want to break a sweat, take a trip over to Wynwood Walls. This famous and hugely popular outdoor art installation features vibrant murals and is a great way to enjoy a stroll in Miami’s fine weather while still getting some culture.
Virginia Key Park & Outdoor Center
Filled to the brim with outdoor recreation options, the Virginia Key Park and its Outdoor Center are a must-see for active Miamians. You can rent kayaks, paddleboards, and bikes at the Outdoor Center, so you don’t need to haul any gear over to enjoy the sunshine and exercise. They even offer a paddleboard yoga class for when you need to stretch out after a busy, active day.
Larry & Penny Thompson Park
Azura residents who really love being outdoors might enjoy a visit to Larry & Penny Thompson Park. This outdoor recreation site is located in native South Florida pine rockland. Camp overnight or just go for a stroll through the park’s various paths to get your dose of genuine Florida outdoors.
Indian Hammocks Action Sport Plaza
If you are inclined towards being extra “sporty,” a visit to the Indian Hammocks Action Sport Plaza might be the option for you. This 14,000-square-foot concrete skate park lets you ride your BMX, inline skate, or skateboard on a wide range of classic skatepark features, including rails and ramps.
Palmetto Golf Course
Golf lovers will enjoy this par-70 championship course located just off of US-1 in Kendall. A canal system that winds its way through this course makes it a beautiful and challenging setting for golfers.
